The FWD tour examines Maori history and legend, the formation of the Napier Taupo Highway, plus the saga of Te Kooti and how this iconic warrior eluded his enemies. The FWD tour takes in Te Kooti's magnificent lookout, and covers stories that relate to it from both a spiritual and legendary perspective (according to time). It also reveals much of this remarkable regions flora and fauna and the medicinal properties of many of the native plants. The tour includes lunch either en route or at Mountain Valley in our fully licensed restaurant and beautiful surroundings.
